Litter Awareness Presentations for schools
Lisa Harris (Choctawhatchee, Pea & Yellow CWP) and Janet Wofford (Conecuh-Sepulga & Blackwater CWP) recently spent the day at Straughn Elementary School in Covington County with the fourth grade and Mrs. Jill Smith, Science teacher. The presentation explained to the students how litter is not only unsightly but also harmful to water quality, wildlife and wildlife habitat. This presentation is part of recent grant from the Wiregrass Resource Conservation and Development Council.
