- Bachelor of Science Degree in Agronomy and Soils from Auburn University
- 10 years with Natural Resource Conservation Service in Alabama, Tennessee, and Mississippi
- Married to Bill, District Engineer with AL DOT; 2 daughters, Sarah, 19 a sophomore at University of Alabama and Catherine 13, an 8th grader at Andalusia Middle School
- Facilitator with Conecuh-Sepulga CWP since its organization in Fall, 2001
- Volunteers with AMS library, AMS Builders Club with projects such as litter pick ups, campus clean ups, and maintenance and landscaping of school grounds and Reading garden; Volunteers with various litter projects across the watershed; enjoys home “do it yourself projects” and is avid gardener
- Recognized in 2007 as Andalusia Middle School “Friend of Education”
