About the Alabama Clean Water Partnership

The ACWP process is made possible by having ten dedicated basin facilitators and sponsoring organizations on the ground to coordinate basin meetings and projects, and a statewide coordinator in place tasked with supporting the facilitators and the transfer of information between basins.

Alabama River Basin Facilitator

Ashley has been the facilitator for the Alabama River Basin since January 2004. Ashley is a Professional Engineer and previously worked as a consulting engineer for municipal water and wastewater treatment plant and conveyance design. She soon became interested in non-point source pollution and the activities of the Clean Water Partnership. As a facilitator, she has participated with the Alabama River Clean Water Partnership in the compilation of the Basin Management plan, the “Hooked on the Alabama River” City Art project, the Prattville Business Partners for Clean Water program and other educational activities. She is married and has 2 children.





Sabrina WardSabrina Clark Wood
Tallapoosa River Basin Facilitator

Sabrina Clark Wood is the Facilitator for the Tallapoosa River Basin. Sabrina is an alumna of Central Alabama Community College in Alexander City and Troy University Montgomery. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Resource Management. Sabrina joined the Clean Water Partnership in 2012 as the Middle Tallapoosa Coordinator. She successfully launched the annual Tallapoosa County Water Festival, developed a monthly electronics recycling program, and partnered to research and map the Tallapoosa River Trail. Sabrina is originally from Tallapoosa County where she grew up canoeing the Tallapoosa River and enjoying Lake Martin. She is married with two children and lives in Eclectic, which is centrally located in the Tallapoosa Basin.

The Tallapoosa Basin is unique in that the City of Alexander City sponsors a Middle Tallapoosa Subbasin Facilitator dedicated to furthering Tallapoosa CWP efforts in the Lake Martin area.
